Georgia Mae "Polly" Root Campbell

Georgia Mae "Polly" Root Campbell, age 91, of Woodbury passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at her home. She was a native of Davidson Co.

Survivors include her children, Linda (Billy) Lawson, George Terry Campbell, & Kenneth Hoyte (Nancy) Campbell. 6 grandchildren also survive.

Ms. Campbell was preceded in death by her husband, Hoyte W. Campbell; Parents, George & Margaret Root; Grandson, Daniel Cawthorn; and Sister, Normagine Haley.

She was a member of the church of Christ. Known as a hard worker, Ms. Polly had many jobs in her life including the Armour Cheese Plant, Colonial Shirt Factory, teaching, Middle Tennessee State University, farming, and a homemaker.

Graveside Services will be 2 PM Friday, September 25, 2020 at Riverside Gardens Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 8 AM to 1 PM Friday, September 25, 2020.
