Geneva Banks Harrell, 76, died Friday, Oct. 15, 2010, at Alive Hospice in Nashville following an extended illness.

A native of Cannon County, she lived in Murfreesboro. She worked as an administrative assistant and attended the Kingwood Church of Christ.

She was the daughter of the late Clyde L. and Gladys Wilson Banks and was also preceded in death by a sister, Sibyl Melton.

Survivors include her husband, Sterling Harrell of Murfreesboro; children, Brenda Harrell McKenzie (Terry) of Murfreesboro, Beverly Harrell Wallace (Pat) of Murfreesboro and Brian Harrell of Murfreesboro; sisters, Audrey (Ebert) Gilley of Brentwood and Ethel (Raymond) Pedigo of Woodbury; and grandchildren, Jessica Wallace, Julie Wallace and Cassy Lynn McKenzie.

Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 17, at Woodbury Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home at 2 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 18, with Bro. Herb Alsup and Bro. Doug Hutchins officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Gardens.
