Franklin Dee Bogle, age 82, of Woodbury, TN passed away on February 6, 2019 at Vanderbilt Palliative Care Unit. Frank died as a result of a fall at his home on December 30 that led to a month of severe complications that he no longer had the strength to fight.

Franklin married Georgia Reed, the love of his life, in 1961, who survives him today. Franklin is survived by his step-daughter, Ceola Sowder (Bill); granddog, "Griffy"; two grandsons, Matthew West and Mason Sowder (Morgan); two step-grandchildren, Jesse Sowder and Ryan Sowder (April); step great grandchildren, Elijah and Patrick of Murfreesboro; his sister, Lucy Cooper and his nieces Connie (Mark) Smith and Dawn (Douglas) Adcock all of Murfreesboro; great nephew, Michael Smith and a host of cousins and other family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lebron and Cathelean Harris Bogle.

All of his friends called him 'Frank'. He was a man who loved and served his community in Woodbury. Everyone that knew Frank has listened to countless stories about the people in his life. He loved his family and he loved the kids on his school bus routes. Frank was involved in transportation all of his life. He served in the Army in Germany in the US Army Transportation Corps. He retired from Samsonite where he worked in Shipping/Receiving and was also a semi-truck driver after 37 years. He was the Woodbury Fire Chief for 9 years. He was also a Deputy Sheriff for Cannon County. He was a member of the Woodbury Church of Christ where he drove the church bus on Sundays. After retiring, he worked at the Stones River Hospital, in the summer he mowed yards for neighbors and his final job was driving the school bus for 14 years before his health began to fail.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home Chapel with Bro Herb Alsup officiating. Burial will follow at the Reed Cemetery. Visitiation with the family will be from 4 pm until 8 pm Friday, February 8, 2019.
