Four Arrested Outside Church On Drug Charges

Four Cannon County men face drug charges following their arrest Friday, August 13 by sheriff’s deputies.

Deputies Randy Neal, Eric Moss and Brandon Mims responded to a dispatch call at 6:20 A.M. for a suspicious vehicle at the Pleasant Ridge Church of Christ. Upon their arrival the deputies spotted one man outside a late model GMC Sonoma pickup near an small blue cooler.

One of the four men  tried to escape during the arrested but was quickly captured. An examination of the suspects and the cooler revealed the  items necessary to manufacture methamphetamine.

Sheriff Billy Nichols, Lt. Brad Hall, Investigators Charlie Wilder and Vance Walker also assisted in the arrest and investigation of the scene.

Those arrested and charges include:

Joseph Tyler Green, 18, 149 Lorance Road, Woodbury, Unlawful Carrying or Possession of a Weapon, Criminal Impersonation, Criminal Trespass, Initiating the Process to Manufacture Methamphetamine, Possession of Schedule II Narcotics. Green’s bond on all charges was $108,500.

Francisco Isreal Bustamante, 19, Cedar Ridge Apt. 2, Woodbury, Criminal Trespass, Criminal Impersonation, Initiating the Process to Manufacture Methamphetamine. Bond was set at $103,000.

Cory Lee Crawford/Young, 18, 1023 Cavendar Branch Road, Woodbury, Initiating the Process to Manufacture Methamphetamine, Maintain Dwelling for Use/Keep/Resale Controlled Substance, Criminal Trespass. He posted a bond of $151,000 and was released.

Robert Cody Davenport, 19, of 1724 Pleasant Ridge Road, Woodbury, Criminal Trespass. Davenport posted a bond of $1,000 and was released.

All four defendants will appear in General Sessions Court on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 before Sessions Judge Susan Melton.
