Woodbury Public Works Director Shane Gannon and Police Chief Lowell Womack close Meadowbrook Dr. due to flooding at around midday Wednesday.

After days of forecasts, predictions, preparations and preparedness, the flooding caused by several days of steady rain hit Woodbury at around midday on Wednesday.

Flooding closed several streets, including McFerrin and Meadowbrook Dr. and there is standing water on Lynn St.

Woodbury Public Works Director Shane Gannon and Police Chief Lowell Womack placed "Road Closed" signs at several of the affected locations.

Gannon said the town's public works department would monitor streets through the day and close additional roads as needed.

Following are some conditions at mid-afternoon on Wednesday from Cannon 911:

Cannon 911 has been notified and been in contact with the Cannon County Hwy Dept and TDOT in reference to the following roads and streets:
McFerrin St -Closed/Signs out

Meadowbrook Dr- Closed/Signs out

Greenbriar- Closed/Signs out

Wilmouth Creek @ 4300 Block- Closed

BullPen Creek Rd - Closed

River Rd- Closed

Bridge Rd. Auburntown- Closed

Big Hill Rd- Debris in the Roadway per CCHD/enroute to clean up

Doolittle Rd- Water Standing/CCHD notified

Sunny Slope- Water Standing/CCHD notified

Bush Rd/Preacher Spry- Closed per CCHD

Hollows Springs Rd- Water Standing/CCHD notified

Jim Cummings Hwy (53S) /TDOT notified

Cove Hill Road- Water Standing/ CCHD notified

Cavender at 53N- Water Standing/ CCHD notified

Geedsville Rd- Water Standing /CCHD notified

Jimtown Rd- Water Standing/ CCHD notified
