After days of forecasts, predictions, preparations and preparedness, the flooding caused by several days of steady rain hit Woodbury at around midday on Wednesday.
Flooding closed several streets, including McFerrin and Meadowbrook Dr. and there is standing water on Lynn St.
Woodbury Public Works Director Shane Gannon and Police Chief Lowell Womack placed "Road Closed" signs at several of the affected locations.
Gannon said the town's public works department would monitor streets through the day and close additional roads as needed.
