After winning their first two games of the season, the Monterey Lady Wildcats have lost eight in a row including a loss to Red Boiling Springs in their last outing December 28th.
Cannon County felt the sting of an upset loss to the Lady Bulldogs 9 days prior and responded with a 48-24 victory against Independence Monday at the State Farm Classic.
The Lions enter the game today a little banged up after last night's overtime loss to Riverdale 61-58 at the State Farm Classic at Riverdale High School. Gus Davenport reinjured his foot while post players Brenden Reed and Lavell Rogers reaggravated ankle injuries in last night's battle. Monterey is 3-8 after beating up Red Boiling Springs last night. The Wildcats also have victories against Macon County and Bledsoe County.
Today's games will tip-off at 2:00 at Robert A. Harris Gymnasium. The games will be broadcast live through the Facebook Page "Cannon Courier News and Events". Live feed will begin at 1:55 this afternoon.
