Fauls 'Fries' For Fire Dept. Theft



Judge Susan Melton presided over Cannon County General Sessions Court on Tuesday, Sept. 27.

The results of some of the cases on the docket included:

Brittane Hope Fauls entered a conditional plea of guilty to the charge of theft under $500. She was placed on probation for 11 months, 29 days, fined $150, ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $1,600, ordered to stay away from the premises of the Auburntown Fire Dept. and assessed court costs. Fauls ran a cash register during the Auburntown Fire Department's monthly fish fries and reportedly stole the money over a six-month period.

Michael Lynn Adcock pled guilty to public intoxication, evading arrest and disorderly conduct. He was sentenced to 30 days in the Cannon County Jail on the PI charge, and given suspended sentences and placed on probation for 11 months, 29 days on the other two charges, which will run consecutive. He was also assessed court costs.

April Ann Barrett pled guilty to driving without a license. She was placed on probation for 30 days, fined $2 and assessed court costs.

Ace Jerome Barrett pled guilty to reckless endangerment. He was given a partially suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days, ordered to serve seven days in the county fail, placed on probation for 11 months, 29 days, and fined $525. Barrett also pled guilty to violation of the implied consent law. His license was revoked for one year and he was assessed court costs.

Becky Lee Bess agreed to revocation on the charge of violation of probation and her probation period was extended for 9 months, 29 days.

Walter Larry Bess agreed to revocation for violating probation. He was sentenced to serve 6 months in the county jail. Upon release he will be placed on state probation for 10 months, 15 days. He was also ordered to pay any costs, fines and restitution as directed by the probation service. In three other cases, Bess waived his right to a preliminary hearing and had charges of initiation of the process to manufacture methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and dogs at large bound over the January 2012 term of the Cannon County Grand Jury.

Aaron J. Brewer entered a conditional plea of guilty to simple possession of a Schedule II drug. He was placed on probation for 11 months, 29 days, fined $750 and assessed court costs.

Daxton Carter Burt pled guilty to underage driving while impaired. He was fined $250, assessed court costs and his license was revoked for one year.

Noe Isreal Campos, charged with driving on a suspended license, 3rd offense, violation of probation and violations of the financial responsibility and registration laws, was reset for Nov. 29.

Billy Ray Carmick agreed to revocation for violating probation and his probation period was extended for 10 months, 29 days.

Mary Ellen Carmack pled guilty to driving without a license. She was placed on probation for 30 days, fined $2 and assessed court costs.

Tiffany Ann Carpenter, charged with driving while license suspended (two counts) and violation of probation, 2nd offense, was reset for Oct. 25.

Thomas C. Coleman agreed to revocation for violating probation. He was sentenced to serve 20 days in the county jail and his probation period was extended for four months.

Larry Van Davis, charged with reckless burning, was reset for Oct. 25.

Justin Ross Deaton, charged with violation of probation, passed a drug screen and the charge was dismissed.

Phillip Dinovo, charged with theft under $500, was reset for Oct. 25.

James Chadwick Emberton, charged with driving on a suspended license, speeding (72/55) and violation of the registration law, was reset for Oct. 11.

Joseph Michael Faulk, charged with aggravated burglary and theft over $500, failed to appear.

Coty Brandon Ferrell’s petition for contact of a domestic assault victim was granted by Judge Melton. The case was reset for Nov. 8.

Ricky Wesley Lee Fults entered a conditional plea of guilty to domestic assault. He was fined $250 and assessed court costs. He was ordered to have no direct or indirect contact with the victim or the victim’s family until both alcohol and drug and domestic violence assessments are performed. Fults also entered a conditional plea of guilty to child neglect. He was placed on probation for 11 months, 29 days, fined $250, assessed court costs, and ordered to attend parenting classes. He also entered a conditional plea of guilty to aggravated criminal trespass and was placed on probation for 11 months, 29 days, ordered to stay away from the premises of the crime, and pay court costs and restitution. A fourth conditional guilty plea to vandalism resulted in Fults receiving probation for 11 months, 29 days, a $50 fine and he was ordered to pay for damages. Two of the probation periods will run consecutive.

Christopher Wayne Gilley pled guilty to driving without a license. He was placed on probation for 30 days, fined $2 and assessed court costs.

Flint Wilson Gilley pled guilty to DUI 1st offense. He was originally charged with DUI 3rd but the state agreed to reduce the charge due to his health condition and age. He was given a partially suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days, ordered to serve 48 hours in the county jail, fined $350, assessed court costs, and ordered to attend DUI school.

Michael Shane Greer, charged with domestic violence, was reset for Nov. 29.

Linda C. Hughes had two motions for relief of costs denied by Judge Melton.

Wendy Elizabeth Hurst, charged with driving on a suspended license, failed to appear.

Stephen Patrick Johnson, charged with violation of probation 3rd offense, two counts, was appointed an attorney and the case was reset for Oct. 25.

Blake Justin Kelly, charged with driving on a suspended license, was reset for Nov. 22.

Jonathan Wayne Kestner agreed to revocation for violating probation. He was ordered to serve 60 days in the county jail and was placed back on probation for 11 months, 19 days. Kestner also pled guilty to vandalism and was given a suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days and placed on probation for an equal amount of time. He was also ordered to pay court costs. A guilty plea to aggravated assault saw Kestner receive a suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 and probation for that same amount of time. He was also order to forfeit the weapon and pay court costs. His probation periods for the assault and probation violation convictions will run consecutive.

Brittany Nicole Keyt agreed to revocation for violating probation and was ordered to serve 14 days in the county jail.

Trevor Lanphere, charged with violation of probation, two counts, was reset for Nov. 29.

Charles G. Light, charged with violation of probation, two counts, failed to appear.

Angela Jennifer Markum pled guilty to driving on a revoked license. She was given a partially suspended sentence of 6 months, placed on probation for 6 months, ordered to serve 48 hours in the county jail, her license was revoked for one year, and she was assessed court costs. She also agreed to revocation for violating probation and was ordered to serve 14 days in the county jail and her probation was extended 11 months, 27 days.

Adam Levoy McClure was appointed the public defender on charges of aggravated burglary, theft over $500 and tampering with evidence and his cases were reset for Oct. 25.

Joseph Reagan McFerrin pled guilty to assault. He was given a suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days, placed on probation for an equal amount of time, fined $150, ordered to stay away from the victim and the victim’s residence, and was assessed court costs.

Richard McLaughlin, charged with violation of probation, failed to appear.

Charles Lee McMahan, charged with habitual motor vehicle offender, evading arrest by a motor vehicle, violation of a traffic control device and driving an unregistered vehicle, was reset for Nov. 29.

Wendy Deanna Mears, charged with initiation of the process to manufacture methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and dogs at large, was reset for Oct. 11.

Co-defendants Timmy Wayne Mount and Dana Lagra Thompson, both charged with possession of Schedule II drugs for resale, possession of Schedule III drugs for resale and possession of Schedule VI drugs for resale, were both bound over to the January 2012 term of the Cannon County Grand Jury after Judge Melton ruled the state presented sufficient probable cause to do so. Mount also faces two counts of fraudulent use of a debit or credit card. After the preliminary hearing Thompson pled guilty to one of the charges against her, violation of the financial responsibility law, and was fined $50 and assessed court costs.

Barbara S. Nichols agreed to revocation for violating probation. She was placed back on probation for 9 months, 25 days and ordered pay and fined and costs as determined by the probation service.

Amanda Danielle Nicol, charged with violation of probation, 1st offense, was reset for Nov. 22.

Amber Rhea Noris, charged with driving on a revoked license, 1st offense, was reset for Nov. 22.

Princess Nakisha Odom, seeking two motions for relief of her VOP sentence, was ordered to serve her remaining 16 days on weekends beginning Sept. 30.

Kyle J. Ortikiese pled guilty to simple possession of a Schedule IV drug, was given a suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days, probation for an equal amount of time, fined $750 and assessed court costs. He also pled guilty to driving while impair, was fined $250, assessed court costs, and his license was revoked for one year. A guilty plea to the charge of theft (joyriding) resulted in a suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days, 11 months, 29 days on probation, payment of restitution and court costs. The drug and theft probation periods will run consecutive.

Ernest Brian Osment, charged with conspiracy to introduce contraband into a penal institution and possession of a Legend drug, was appointed an attorney, assessed a $20 administrative fee and reset for Oct. 25.

Dorothy R. Parker admitted to guilt and entered into an order or retirement for 6 months on the charges of resisting arrest and making false statements to a law enforcement officer, subject to good and lawful conduct.

Will Tyler Parker, charged with DUI 1st offense and violations of the financial responsibility and seatbelt laws, was reset for Nov. 15.

Glenn O. Parrish admitted to guilt on a charge of assault and entered into an agreed order of retirement for 11 months, 29 days. He was ordered to have no contact with the victim or victim’s family. He was also assessed court costs.

Kristina L. Pitts, charged with phone harassment, failed to appear.

Marlin Christopher Prater pled guilty to solicitation of the introduction of contraband into a penal institution. He was given a suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days, placed on probation for an equal amount of time, and assessed court costs. He also agreed to revocation for violation probation, was ordered to serve his entire sentence, and upon release will be placed back on probation for 22 months, 28 days. He was also ordered to pay any costs, fines and restitution as determined by the probation service.

Donald L. Reed, Jr., charged with rape of a child under 13 years of age, three counts, was reset for Oct. 25.

Dustin Lee Reed, charged with reckless burning, was reset for Nov. 15.

Gary Duane Riddle, charged with DUI 1st offense, was reset for Nov. 22.

Mickey E. Russell, charged with evading arrest with a motor vehicle, reckless driving and driving on a suspended license, was reset for Oct. 25.

Richard Earl Smith pled guilty to driving without a license. He was placed on probation for 30 days, fined $2 and assessed court costs. He also pled guilty to speed (64/55) and will attend driver’s safety school.

Bryan Christopher Tate, charged with driving on a suspended license, was reset for Oct. 25.

Cynthia Denise Thomas entered into an agreed order of retirement on a driver’s license violation for 6 months, subject to good and lawful conduct, and was assessed court costs.
 
David Brad Young had charges of initiation of the process to manufacture methamphetamine, maintaining a dwelling for the manufacture, use, keep or sale of methamphetamine, manufacture of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia bound over to the grand jury. However, Young indicated he would enter an information plea to the manufacturing of meth and manufacturing of marijuana charges in Circuit Court on Oct. 6.

Tammy Renee Young had charges of DUI 1st offense and violation of the implied consent law dismissed by the state based upon the guilty pleas of co-defendant Ace Barrett to those charges.
