Fall break provides challenge for trio of CCHS students

Fall break was a little different this year for 3 CCHS students. A week spent working in Albany, Georgia with Samaritans Purse proved to be a real blessing. These girls traveled and worked with others from Cannon County.

Kayden Walton said about her experience, " I learned that we take a lot for granted. Even when we are going through hard times, there are those who will help you through it. I encourage others to be involved in mission work."

The team spent the week cleaning up from Hurricane Michael's destruction through the area. Chainsaw work and removing debris kept them busy. The group cleaned yards for a total of 14 homeowners working with team members from several states.

Sophomore Ashlee Hill had this to say, " This was one of the greatest opportunities that I've had because I got to share love, Christ, and meet others who have the same passion as I. "

Ellie Young proved to be a wonderful encourage for the group. Her sense of humor and energy were an inspiration to all.

The team consisted of members from Pleasant View and Plainview Baptist Churches. Pictured are Terry and Deb Regan, Ellie Young.Petrina Hill, Gerald Petro, Ashlee Hill, Sarah Clay, Kayden Walton, and Margie Petro.
