Elementary Schools Offer Free Breakfast Day April 13

Did you know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day? Studies indicate that children who eat a good breakfast perform better in school, have better attendance, and exhibit better behavior than their non-breakfast eating peers.

Cannon County Schools recognize the important role school breakfast plays in the lives of students each and every day.

In an effort to assure all students are prepared for the first day of TCAP exams, elementary principals, Coordinated School Health, and the Department of Food Service have combined resources to offer a FREE HEALTHY BREAKFAST to all elementary students on the first day of TCAP testing, which is Tuesday, April 13th.

The menu will include oats, toast, fresh fruit, cereal, juice, and milk. This project is an effort to remind all students of the important connection between eating a good breakfast and academic performance, not only during TCAP week but each and every day.
