Edward F. Hays

Services for Edward F. Hays, 86, of Auburntown, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Woodbury First Baptist Church with Bro. Hunter Hay and Bro. Richard Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Prosperity Cemetery.

 Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 31, 2013 at Woodbury Funeral Home. Mr. Hays will lie in state at Woodbury First Baptist from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday.

 Mr. Hays died Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Woodbury Health Care.

 Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Martha Jennings Hay of Auburntown; his daughter and son-in-law, Marna and John Higgins of Auburntown; grandchildren, Andy, Allison and Amelia Higgins of Auburntown; and his brother and sister-in-law, Earl Bryan Hays and Martha Hayes ofConyers,GA.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Ruby Fite Hays.

 Mr. Hays was a member of the Woodbury First Baptist Church, a field engineer with DTC and a veteran of World War II where he served in the Navy.

 In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Good Shepherd’s Childrens Home, Murfreesboro.
