DTC Communications Members Elect Board of Directors



ALEXANDRIA, Tenn. – Sept. 30, 2009 – Three incumbent directors were re-elected to the DTC Board of Directors. Voting concluded and the results of the elections were announced at DTC’s annual meeting on Saturday, Sept. 26.

Incumbent Bennie "Buck" Curtis of the Alexandria (529) exchange received a total of 492 votes, defeating challengers Wayne "Elmer" Fitts who had 264 votes and Robbie "Donnie" Rowland who received 211 votes.

Incumbent Ronnie Garrison of the Smithville (215/597) exchange received a total of 766 votes, defeating challenger Paul Cantrell who had 224 votes.

Incumbent Randy Campbell of the Liberty (536) exchange ran unopposed and received 741 complimentary votes.

A total of 1,049 members voted in this year's election including 757 early voters and 292 on election day (Sept. 26).
Following the annual meeting, the board of directors met to elect officers:

James H. Dillard, Jr. of the Gordonsville exchange was elected president;

Roy N. Pugh of the Auburntown exchange was elected vice president;

Greg Rogers of the Woodbury exchange was elected secretary; and

- Randy Campbell of the Liberty exchange was elected treasurer.

Also serving on the DTC board in addition to Curtis and Garrison are members Charles Dwight Vinson of the Milton exchange, Terry McPeak of the Norene exchange, Robert Don Malone of the Temperance Hall exchange, and David Parker of the Woodland exchange.
