Dream On: Own Piece Of History, Support Children

Dream On: Own Piece Of History, Support Children
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas around the Cannon County Courthouse!  Cannon County Youth Dream, along with local artist Rachel Parker, wants to celebrate the holiday and winter season with a new limited edition art piece.

Mrs. Parker has designed a wintery, snowy scene of our local beloved courthouse, and has paired it with historical roof tiles from the courthouse to serve as her canvas. What a wonderful piece of local history to take home or to give as a gift for the holidays!

But this festive piece of history gets even better. The proceeds collected from these limited edition tiles help provide educational resources into our school system in the form of minigrants awarded to our Cannon County teachers, scholarships for graduating seniors, and other Cannon County Youth Dream projects.

Cannon County Youth Dream believes each child deserves every opportunity to develop their talents and abilities. The board has accepted the challenge and responsibility to provide support to develop, reach and encourage our young people, of all ages and circumstances to achieve the full potential, motivating them to aspire to higher goals for themselves and their community.

As stated, these special edition tiles are limited, with only 25 being produced. The winter scene tile is priced at $75.

CCYD still has the original courthouse tiles for sale as well for $60.

If you would like to enquire more or would like to purchase one of the tiles, please stop by Woodbury Funeral Home.

The tiles are also on display at Mrs. Parker’s frame shop and can be purchased through her as well.

Be one of the first to own such a unique piece of Cannon County history and support our children and schools through Cannon County Youth Dream.
