Discount for Special Kids race
Tuesday, January 12, 2016 12:28 pm The Special Kids Race announced today that only a few days remain until late registration prices increase on January 16 for the charity event held in Murfreesboro.
The Special Kids Race is an annual event existing to support local nonprofit Special Kids Therapy and Nursing Center. The run has grown to be one of the largest races in Murfreesboro, with 3,250 participants expected in this year's event. Reenactors from the Stones River Battlefield will fire a cannon to give participants a memorable start for the third consecutive year. Runners and walkers will also be awarded finishing medals by children from Special Kids. Special Kids is joined again in 2016 by founding and presenting sponsor Murfreesboro Medical Clinic and Surgicenter. Several other businesses have decided to partner to help the children including gold sponsors Max Shred, New Vision Baptist Church, Tiffany Lane, Stewart's Special Events, and Newk's Eatery. Silver sponsors are Ascend Federal Credit Union, A Step Ahead, Fleet Feet Murfreesboro, and Stones River Battlefield.
