Director Of Schools William Curtis To Speak At Ambulance Committee Meeting Tonight

Some of the members of the Cannon County Commission would like to defund services that they currently house in their general fund balance but are considered non required to be funded by county government. Some of those services include, the Cannon County Libraries, County Fire Department, 9-1-1 Services in which they give a contribution to help offset costs of dispatch salary, and the Ambulance Department.
Tonight ironically at the Adams Memorial Library, the Cannon County Ambulance Committee will be meeting. On the agenda is a presentation by the AMB company which covers the collection department for the Ambulance Service. The highlight of the evening will be Director Of Schools William Freddy Curtis as he will be addressing the audience and committee on how important the ambulance service is to Cannon County residents.
Mr. Curtis who suffered a heart attack back in June will discuss the role the ambulance service played in saving his life.
The meeting is open to the public and will start at 5:30 tonight.
