David Michael Petika

David Michael Petika, 65, died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011 at Alvin C. York Medical Center following an extended illness.

A native of Cannonsburg, PA, he resided in Liberty, TN.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Petika and Mary Konechney Petika.

Survivors include his children, Rainey (William) Spague of St. Mary’s, GA., Cindy Petika of Virginia Beach, VA, Dave (Rachelle) Petika of Wooster, OH and Melanie (Don) Dosremedos of Sydney, Australia.

Grandchildren, Raine Carter, Susan Hesson, Ryann Sprague, Kasey Petika, David J. Petika, Donovan Petika, Sofia Dosremedos.

Great grandchildren, Abigail Lacey and Noah Hesson.

Brother, Tom Petika of Las Vegas, NV.

Mr. Petika was a veteran of Vietnam where he served and retired from the U.S. Navy.  He was an active member of the Lakota Inipi Assoc.

Funeral services will be in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home at 1 p.m on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011.

Burial will be Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery with full military honors at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 25, 2011.

Visitation is Friday, Jan. 21 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
