Gus Davenport connected on a three point shot as time expired to give the Cannon County Lions a 53-51 win over Bath County High School out of Kentucky. The win is the sixth consecutive and keeps the undefeated streak during the month of December alive for the Lions who face another Kentucky team in Buckhorn High School today at 3:00CST/4:00EST at the Gatlinburg Pittman High School Auxiliary Gym.

Kristin Fann shot 7 of 10 from the field ending with 19 points as 11 different Lionettes got into the scoring column during their quarterfinal first round win of the Gatlinburg-Pittman High School Smoky Mountain Classic Christmas Tournament Thursday afternoon beating George Wythe VA 70-44.
Today the Lionettes will play the host team Gatlinburg Pittman who knocked Pikeville KY to the loser bracket with a 75-28 win. The Lady Highlanders are 6-6 on the season. The semifinal matchup will be today at 4:30 CST/5:30EST at Gatlinburg Pittman High School's Main Gym
