Crafters sought for bbq cookoff

American Legion Post 279 is looking for more crafters for the Kansas City Bar-B-Que Society (KCBS) Bar-b-Que Championship Cookoff Competition on Friday and Saturday, September 27 and 28 at the Cannon County Fairgrounds. This event is fully sanctioned by the KCBS. This is the biggest event to hit Cannon County in September. 

There will be professional cookers, backyard cookers, kids que cookers, lots of craft booths and food concession stands, "The Friends of After School Kids" will have their famous hot fudge cakes, hamburgers, cheese burgers, fries, nacho chips and cheese, and other good eats. John House will be there with his "Dog House" hot dog stand. The Sons of the American Legion Squadron will have their famous strawberry short cake, and there will be plenty of good ole Bar-B-Que. There will be lots of good eating and live entertainment on Friday and Saturday.
