History records that about 500 Muscogee Creek people were gathered up and held at Blythe Ferry with 10,000 Cherokee and their slaves. A large part of the story is being told at the Cherokee Removal Park, but to complete the whole story a monument to the Muscogee Creek people will soon be included at the park. Keeping our story alive in the old Homeland and visiting these Sacred Sites helps in healing and reconciliation. Please try to attend this important part of the Commemorative "Trail of Tears" Walk.
