Coffee With A Cop Day

Coffee With A Cop Day

On the first Wednesday in October, National Coffee with a Cop Day brings men and women in uniform together with their communities to connect over a cup of joe. Local and state law enforcement officers, including Woodbury police chief Lowell Womack and patrolman Josh Thomas (pictures from left) took part in the event at McDonald's in Woodbury on Wednesday. National Coffee with a Cop day is a day dedicated to encourage communication and positive interactions between law enforcement agencies and the public. The day began as part of National Community Policing Week in 2016 and now continues each year on the first Wednesday in October furthering efforts nationwide to bridge the gap between the community and the law.
