The Cannon County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the theft of various horse apparel and equipment.

Deputy Matthew Parsley responded to an address on Pleasant Ridge Road in reference to a report of theft from a barn.

Upon arrival he spoke with the victim, who stated she returned home from a weekend camping trip to find that several items had been taken from her horse barn.

She said that several colt halters, one multi-colored, one red and one blue had been taken. Among other items missing were five adult horse halters, one purple, three blue, one red,and 10 lead ropes, including one purple with gold chain, two white, one red and one blue.

Other items reported stolen were two bridles, one brown with a “V” and one black, and two saddles, one brown and one grey and black, one Rebel flag blanket and several bottles of horse medicine.

The victim estimated total loss to be $1,095. She said she was unaware of anyone who would have taken the items.

• Dustin Bain was served a Capias for failure to appear on Sept. 26.

• Joshua Crook was served a warrant for violation of probation on Sept. 22.

• Lou Ann Marlow was served a warrant for worthless check on Sept. 19.

• Joshua Underwood was served an arrest warrant for violation of probation on Sept. 21. Deputy Seth Perry stopped Underwood’s vehicle as it was traveling on Murfreesboro Road for a faulty taillight. Upon investigation Cannon County Dispatch confirmed Underwood had a warrant out for his arrest.
