The Cannon County High School Outdoor Club paddled the Stones River Thursday along the Greenway in Murfreesboro. The group put in at the Manson Pike boat access and took out at the Thompson Lane boat access.

The trip was planned to learn basic kayak paddling skills for future whitewater trips. Paddlers included Brock Short, Cody Phillips, Matt Jernigan, Charles Steeleman, Will Parsley, Alex Higgins, Amanda Carlton and Marc Larson.
