CCHS Hosts Financial Aid Night No. 2 Jan. 26, FAFSA Night Feb. 4

On Tuesday, January 26th, Cannon County High will host its second financial aid night of the 2009-2010 school year from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the CCHS cafeteria. All juniors and seniors and their parents are invited to this event.

Special guests include Bonnie McCarty, Assistant Director of Scholarships at M.T.S.U., Eric Farmer with the Hope/Lottery Scholarship (TSAC), Staff Sergeant Lindsey Crawford of the US Marine Corp., David Ferguson from The Georgia Career Institute, and Chris Ayres of the Tennessee Technology Center.

On February 4th, beginning at 5:30 p.m., Cannon County High School will be sponsoring a FAFSA work night. Eric Farmer with The Tennessee Student Assistance Corp. (TSAC) will be on hand to help parents and students with any questions they might have concerning the FAFSA.

Parents and seniors who need help should bring their tax information with them to the high school. It is important that seniors who are planning on entering a technical school or college in the fall file the FAFSA before February 15th. The FAFSA also serves as the application for the Lottery Scholarship. For more information, contact the CCHS Guidance Department at 563-2144.
