CCCA Holds 1st Annual Field Day

The Cannon County Cattlemen's Association hosted their 1st Annual Field Day on August 21, 2010 at the Cannon County Ag Expo Building in Woodbury.

Lunch was provided by Performance feed & Animal Health and Trade Show vendors.

Along with the trade show, several educational activities were held during the day including; TCA Update with TCA Executive Director, Charles Hord, cattle Grading Demo conducted by Mack Moss, TDA Livestock Specialist, Lunch sponsored vendors and field day sponsors, Update on Ag Learning Center by Courtney Nichols, Freeze Branding Demonstration by Davy Sneed, Importance of the Beef Check-Off presented by Valerie Bass, TBIC Executive Director.  If you have any questions concerning the CCCA, please contact Davy Sneed at 6159045850.

The Cannon County Cattlemen's Association (CCCA) is one of the newest associations in Tennessee, formed in April 2010.  The Cannon County area is home to farmers who take their jobs of raising cattle and producing quality beef seriously.

Farm School has been held in Cannon County for over a decade and it was mentioned among the producers that with certain issues arising in the industry that now was the time to take action and form a county association. To become a member of the CCCA is easy, Cannon County Cattlemen’s dues are $10 per year with the TN Cattlemen’s Dues: $30 per year.

You can belong to just the County Association or for an even better deal, join both the County and State. Please make checks payable to CCCA for the total, CCCA will then issue payment to Tennessee Cattlemen’s Associaiton for your state dues. Please drop you payment in the mail or by the Extension Office at 614 Lehman St.. Our mailing address is CCCA, 614 Lehman St. , Woodbury, TN 37190.
