It's been a few years since both the Smith County Lady Owls and Owls basketball teams swept the Cannon County Lions and Lionettes in a single night. It happened though January 12th in Carthage and now it's time for Cannon to return the favor tonight at Robert A. Harris Gymnasium.
With a win tonight, the Lionettes would move into a tie for 7th place with each team having two games left on their schedule. Cannon has the more tougher opponents left in Upperman and Livingston while Smith plays Dekalb and Watertown to close out the season.
The Lions need a win to remain in 5th place. An Owls win would potentially drop the Lions down in the standings as the Owls would then sweep the season series.
Tonight's games in Woodbury will tip off at 6:00. Cannon Courier News and Events Facebook page will broadcast the games live with the stream beginning at 5:55.
