Cannon Schools Announces School Level Teachers Of The Year
Tuesday, February 11, 2020 11:10 am Cannon County Schools take pleasure in honoring the school-level teachers of the year for the 2019-2020 School Year. Each teacher was selected to represent their respective school in three categories: PreK-4th Grade; 5th Grade - 8thGrade; 9th Grade - 12th Grade. One Teacher in each category will be selected by a committee to represent Cannon County as the District Teacher of the Year in the Upper Cumberland CORE Region and will be announced during the Week of February 10th, 2020. The following teachers were selected to represent their individual schools:
Auburn School: PreK - 4th: Leslie Pursell 5th Grade - 8thGrade: Emily Crook
East Side School: PreK - 4th: Jordan Anderson 5th Grade - 8thGrade: Brad Underwood
Short Mountain School: PreK - 4th: Mary McMurry 5th Grade - 8thGrade: Candice Lewis
West Side School: PreK - 4th: Kathy Gannon 5th Grade - 8thGrade: Melissa Anderson
Woodbury Grammar School: PreK - 4th: Rhonda Odom 5th Grade - 8thGrade: Jeff Todd
Woodland School: PreK - 4th: Julie Hackney 5th Grade - 8thGrade: Carla Parker
Cannon County High School: 9th Grade - 12thGrade: Annie Reed
Director of Cannon County Schools Mr. William F. Curtis stated, "We are tremendously proud of each one of these outstanding educators.
