Cannon County Schools will be closed again Wednesday, which will mark the fifth consecutive day that students will be out of class.

Director of Schools Barbara Parker said Wednesday the reason schools have been closed this week is that several of the roads buses service remain too hazardous to travel following last week's snowfall.

Parker said she is monitoring the situation on a daily basis, and is hoping that temperatures will warm up Wednesday enough to allow the ice to melt and buses to run without trouble.
