Cannon County High School hosted a scrimmage game against Shelbyville Tuesday evening. The game was split into four fifteen minute quarters, the first three for varsity and the last for junior varsity. Cannon County won the varsity portion 1-0, Shelbyville won the junior varsity with the same score.

The Lions are adapting well to their new leadership. "I like the system so far Coach [Schrenk]" one player commented after the game, while Schrenk himself seemed preoccupied with some imperceptible kinks.

Cannon County plays a jamboree at Wilson Central High School August 15th at 5:00 p.m. Their first official game of the season will be at CCHS against Spring Hill August 21st at 7:00 p.m.
