Players from three teams stand ready to catch at the home run derby.

Despite Saturday's rain, young ball players from all over enjoyed the opening day celebration of the Cannon County Dixie Youth Association.

Activities included pitching contests, home run derbies, and an egg hunt to celebrate Easter Weekend.
