Again this year the Multi-County Livestock Show between Cannon and Rutherford County was a success with four species and many participants. We would like to thank all of our sponsors for their contribution in making this another successful year for the 4-H members. With the local sponsorship of Cannon County Farm Bureau, Woodbury Farmers' Cooperative, Midstate Producers, and Tennessee Cattlemen Association, we were able to provide prizes this year that would be used at shows and future events. Participants from Cannon County included Hunter Owen showing goats, Faith Womack with her sheep, and Chloe Dill showing beef cattle. This county show helps the 4-H members be better prepared for upcoming shows. Although each of our participants won first place in several classes, showing livestock instills lifeskills with the 4-H members that they will use throughout their lives. However, none of this would be possible without the sponsors, parents, and stakeholders invested in the 4-H program.
