Christian Men's Group
Food Collection
The Christian Men's Group is collecting food for needy families this Christmas season. This group meets on the 2nd Saturday of each month at the Cannon Community Church and is comprised of men from across the community from different denominations. We have set a goal to feed 100 families. Without the help of the community this will not be possible. We are asking for donations of food or money.
If you want to donate non perishable items you may take them to The Old Feed Store at 310 Water Street or Antiques and More located at 101 North Cannon Street. For monetary donations please make checks payable to Christian Men's Group.

Country Music Jam Session
Pocahontas Community Center
1st and 3rd Fridays
A country music jam sessions is set for the first and third Fridays of each month at the Pocahontas Community Center, 1441 Pocahontas Road, Morrison. American Legion Auxiliary is in need of books to donate to the Fisher House which is a rehabilitation home for our local wounded veterans.

Honky Tonk Angels
Holiday Spectacular
Dec. 5-14
This holiday sequel to the hugely popular show, The Honky Tonk Angels continues the comic escapades of three good ole country gals as they re-unite for a Christmas show like none other at "The Hillbilly Heaven Club" in Nashville. There are many surprising twists and turns in this musical comedy revue, including a gospel soul sister who also happens to be a psychic manicurist. Songs include a Motown Christmas medley, country classics like Coat of Many Colors by Dolly Parton and comedy hits such as Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer. Directed by Matt Smith, this show features Arts Center favorites Mary Ellen Smith, Stephanie Sarsfield, Anna Flatt, and Jessica Hunter.
Performance dates are Dec. 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, & 14. Tickets are $30 per person and include dinner, drink, dessert and the show. The Honky Tonk Angels Holiday Spectacular is sponsored by Smith Funeral Home. Performances: For Friday and Saturday performances, dinner starts at 6:30 with the show beginning at 7:30. Lions Club Day
Saturday, Dec. 6,
7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The Woodbury Lions Club is gearing up for a great day on Saturday, Decemeber the 6th, 2014.
Pancake Breakfast With Santa 7-10am. Santa will be at the Lions Club building. Pictures with Santa will be offered by the Lions Club.
The Christmas Parade will begin at 12:00 noon. Line up will begin at 11:15. Please pre-register your parade entry at the extension office prior to the parade.

Santa will be on the Woodbury Lions Club's Float.
Lions Club Tour of Homes ticket sales has been moved to the Agriculture Extension Office located at 614 Lehman St. in Woodbury. Tickets and maps will be available on Saturday, December 6th beginning at 3:00 pm.

Commodity Distribution
Thursday, December 11
The Upper Cumberland Human Resource Agency (UCHRA) will hold a commodities distribution for Cannon County, Thursday, December 11, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Cannon County Community Center located at the Fairgrounds.
Everyone must present a valid UCHRA commodity card in order to receive commodities. To sign up or reprint lost commodities cards contact your local UCHRA office

Adams Library

Adams Memorial Library will be hosting Mr. and Mrs. S. Claus for an evening of fun and festivities on Tuesday, Dec. 16 at 5:30 p.m. Be sure to take out your red crayon and mark your calendars.
