LLOYD CAMPBELL

The Cannon County Historical Society will meet on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. at the Adams Memorial Library, in the basement meeting room.

Lloyd Campbell will be the guest speaker. He is the author of a recently published book, The Tenpenny’s of Cannon County, Tennessee. This excellent book deals with the arrival of the first Tenpenny’s to North Carolina and their coming to Tennessee and to the area now known as Cannon County, and their settling on Rush Creek.

Lloyd will talk about the Tenpenny Family Genealogy and the related families, the History of the Rush Creek area, the interesting Tenpenny Hollow and it’s Cave and Cemetery, as well as other subjects of interest.

Copies of the Tenpenny book will be available for sale at the meeting.

The society will meet at 6:30 for finger foods. Bring what you would like and join in the food and fellowship. The program will begin at 7 p.m.
