Byrl Wayne Jernigan

Byrl Wayne Jernigan, Sr., 81 of Cannon County, died Saturday, Jan. 04, 2014 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.  

Survivors include his children: Ellen (James) Penn of Manchester, Deborah (Roger) Hensley of Baxter, Cynthia Taylor of Brush Creek, Tammy (Robin) Cook of Brush Creek, Karen (Tom) Avey of Manchester, Barbara (William) Harris of Lebanon, Byrl Wayne (Kristi) Jernigan, Jr. of Morrison, Steve (Vicky) Jernigan of Eagleville, Eric (Jessica) Jernigan of Manchester and brother:  Dale Jernigan of Woodbury. Also surviving are 26 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clinton Jacob and Millie Elsie Swanger Jernigan; his wife, Virginia Ash Jernigan and Brother, Marlin Ray Jernigan. 

Byrl was a member of the World Wide Church of God and a retired building contractor.  He was a hardworking man and a loving father. 

Funeral  services were held Monday, Jan. 6, 2014 at Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home  with Bro. Steve Jernigan officiated. Burial was in Hopewell Cemetery.
