LEBANON – Author and motivator Michael Burt will speak at Cumberland University on Wednesday, January 20, at 10 a.m. on his newest book, The Anatomy of Winning: How to REWIRE people to WIN.

From his newest book, Burt, along with former Shelbyville High School and current Middle Tennessee women’s coach Rick Insell, teaches you how to build a culture that gives birth to the potential of its people, discussing the seven components to REWIRE your TEAM to WIN.

Burt began coaching at the age of 15 as a junior pro basketball assistant. At 18, Burt won his first of many championships, leading Woodbury Grammar School to a 31-5 record and won the Class A state championship.

Burt serves as the Chief Leadership Officer for multiple companies as well as his own Maximum Success, a leadership consulting firm. His third book This Ain’t No Practice Life, has been a major hit across the country inspiring people to dream big and act on their thoughts.

As a high school basketball coach at Riverdale in Murfreesboro, Burt’s teams produced seven consecutive 20-plus win seasons, four conference titles, three sub-state appearances and two Miss Basketball finalists. In 2007 his strategies were validated when he led his team to a 2007 Class AAA state championship and a 38-3 record for the first time in over 83 years in the city of Murfreesboro and the first time in the schools 36 year history.
