Burglaries, vandalism reported



Woodbury Police
Michael Phillips Jr. was charged with driving on a suspended license and violating his financial responsibility. A hearing is set for Sept. 24 in General Sessions Court.

Sasha S. Brown was charged with DUI, first offense by Patrolman John House. A hearing is set for Nov. 19.

Jana Vaughn was charged with the theft of $49.26 worth of gas from Quick Shop Market by Patrolman Eric Moss. A hearing is set for Sept. 24.

Nikolavs Dylan Woods was charged with driving on a suspended license. A hearing is set for Sept. 24.

Jimmie L. Barnes II was charged with DUI, second offense, and evading arrest by Patrolman Eric Moss. A hearing is set for Sept. 24.

Jerry Ray Carlton was charged with DUI and a violation of the implied consent law. A hearing is set for Aug. 27.

Teri Glenn Slate and David D. Johnson were charged with initiation of the methamphetamine manufacturing process and possession of drug paraphernalia by Patrolman John House.
A one-pot meth lab was discovered in the bathroom along with lithium batteries, empty cold compress packs, a HCL generator and empty pseudoephedrine packs. Hearings are set for Aug. 27 in General Sessions Court.

Sonia M. Lyons was charged with theft under $500 following the alleged theft of two air fresheners from Dollar General Market. A hearing is set for Aug. 20.

Theft
David Lee Hargrove reported the theft of two Red Max weed eaters and a Stihl blower from the back of his truck. The matter is still under investigation.

Cannon County Sheriff's Department

CORRECTION

Justin Tyler Bush was not charged with a violation of probation.  In fact, Deputy Bush was the officer who made the arrest. The Cannon Courier regrets the error.


Arrests
Zackary Dixon was served with three charges of passing worthless checks.

Jeremy L. Johnson was charged with a violation of probation.

Bethany Hope Tate-Elrod was charged with a violation of probation.

Isreal Murin was charged with driving on a revoked license following a traffic stop by Sgt. Seth Perry on Sunny Slope Road.

Steven W. Buse was charged with violation of probation.

Thefts
Mike Alexander reported the theft of a Lowe aluminum flat-bottomed boat, along with a 40-hp Evinrude motor and a Nincota troller motor.

Beverly Odom reported a break-in at her home. Taken were a wedding band and two pocket knives.

Jessica Asbury reported the burglary of a storage shed at her home. A number of tools were taken including two Stanley Mechanics tool sets, an air compressor, air paint gun set, a sander, jig saw and a number of toys including two Leapster Explorer games.

Christopher Ford reported the burglary of his home. Items taken include an X-caliber crossbow, .44-caliber Smith & Wesson, a Remington 30-06 with scope, a Mossberg 12-gauge pump, a 16-gauge shotgun, a stealth camera and rolled up changed.

Vandalism
More than $1,000 worth of vandalism was done to the vehicle of Brandy Dillard. Both sides of the vehicle had been "keyed" and a note had been scratched on the hood of the car.
