Brad Hall announces his candidacy for the office of sheriff in the August 7th General Election.

Brad is a lifelong resident of Cannon County. Brad is the son of the late Marsha Wilson and the grandson of the late Austin and Elizabeth Wilson. Brad is married to Kim Neal who is the daughter of AJ and Brenda Neal of Short Mountain. Brad and Kim have a nine year old son Zach Martin. Brad and Kim are members of the North Warren Church of Christ.

Brad is currently employed by the McMinnville Police Department as a Police Officer. Brad has been employed with the McMinnville Police Department since January 2011. Brad is a Field Training Officer with the department, which allows him to train new officers hired as police officers at the department. Brad was named Police Officer of the Year for the McMinnville Police Department in 2012.

Brad worked for the Cannon County Sheriff’s Department from 2000 to 2010. While at the Cannon County Sheriff’s Department, Brad began his career as a Corrections Officer working in the jail and worked his way through the department becoming a Deputy, where he held the rank of Lieutenant.

Brad was a Cannon County Commissioner for the 5th district of Woodbury from 2006 to 2009.

“During my career as a law enforcement officer, I have been involved with the process of applying for grants, supervising and training other police and correction officers. I believe with my training and experience, that I am qualified to be the next Sheriff of Cannon County. I have spent most of the career caring for the people of Cannon County. I believe if given the opportunity to serve as Sheriff, I can bring a more professional environment to the Cannon County sheriff’s Department. I believe that every person that lives in or visits Cannon County should be treated with respect and professionalism from the people tasked to protect them.”
