NASHVILLE -- State Representative Clark Boyd (R-Lebanon) has officially passed his first bill as a member of the Tennessee General Assembly and the House Republican Caucus.

House Bill 2294 is designed to support Tennessee's reservists and National Guardsman while deployed. Having previously served for more than 11 years as a member of the Army National Guard, and U.S. Army Reserve, Representative Boyd was honored to sponsor this legislation.

"Over the last 30 years, our armed forces have gone from a large conventional active duty force to one that relies more heavily on the reserve and National Guard," said Representative Boyd. "With this in mind, it's imperative that we do anything we can to minimize disruption to their families and jobs. We must continue to support and fight for our military, veterans, and their families."

Representative Boyd is sponsoring five bills and co-sponsoring 14 additional initiatives during the 2018 legislative session. His first year as a member of our House Republican Caucus has been an incredibly rewarding experience.

Clark Boyd serves as a member of the House Insurance & Banking Committee. He is also a member of the House Consumer & Human Resources Committee and Subcommittee.
