Bobby Ray Pitts, "Nub" to many of his friends often had stories of what happened to his fingers that earned him this nick name. One thing that all the stories had in common was humor. Bobby loved to tell stories and you would be all ears and on the edge of your seat then he would have the punch line. He was also known for his pretty garden. People would drive by his home in Short Mountain to see his garden. His great grandson Westin spent the most time with Bobby and Nelda. Bobby called him "Pa's buddy" and taught him many things in their time together. Bobby loved his family and looked forward to family functions and visits.

Bobby was the son of the late Press & Ruby Jones Pitts and was also preceded in death by his siblings, Grace Nell Bly, David Pitts, Peggy Edwards, Dot Sullivan, Edward Pitts, Jerry Pitts & Jimmy Pitts. He was a graduate of Auburn High School and a member of Cannon Lodge #774. He retired from GE with 27 years of service.
