Some 1,800 buildings and 14 lives were lost to the Gatlinburg fires. This has been one of the largest disasters in Tennessee history. In an effort to help the hundreds of families who have lost their homes and in many cases their jobs, Meadows Homes of McMinnville will be collecting new blankets to be distributed to the devastated families.

These blankets are intended for the full-time residents who make Sevier County their home year round. The
blankets will be distributed by local charities and civic groups.

The blankets can be dropped off at Meadows Homes of McMinnville anytime between 8 am and 6 pm Monday through Saturday. At the time of drop-off, a card will be made available for you to make a note of encouragement along with your signature. These are the families that served so many of us when we visited the Smokey Mountains. If you need additional information, please call Rob at 931-668-7300. Your gift of kindness will be greatly appreciated.
