The February 21st meeting of the Auburntown Historical Society will feature guest speaker Ken Beck, whose Cannon County roots go back at least six generations.

He has written stories about Middle Tennesseans for over 40 years as well as interviewed hundreds of film and TV stars (he was partial to the cowboy heroes of yesteryear) while an entertainment writer at The Tennessean for 30 years.

Nowadays, he writes for a hand full of community newspapers including the Cannon Courier.

He has co-written a number of books with Jim Clark including The Andy Griffith Show, Mayberry Memories and Aunt Bee's Mayberry Cookbook. The meeting will be held in the Fellowship Hall of the Auburntown Church of Christ Church in Auburntown beginning at 7:00 PM.
