Banquet to honor CCHS athletes May 17
Sunday, May 6, 2018 11:39 am FirstBank presents this year's Cannon Courier Sports Hall of Fame and All Sports Awards Banquet. The banquet is set for 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 17 at the Arts Center of Cannon County. Not only will there be recognition the student athletes of the various high school sports programs of Cannon County, but four men and one woman who have made a significant impact during their time at Cannon County High School by recognizing their accomplishments. This year's five Hall Of Fame entrants are: Ronny Burks -- Coach Chad "Sleepy" Thomas -- Athlete (Basketball) Jackie Francis -- Athlete (Football) Katherine Reed Mohon -- Athlete (Basketball) Estel Parker -- Contributor Our student athlete awards will go to: Girls Volleyball -- Maggie Cook Girls Soccer -- Hannah Haley Cross Country -- Alex Segoviano Boys Football -- Cole Hill Boys Golf -- Luke Jakes Girls Basketball -- Maleah Scott Boys Basketball -- Trey Fann Baseball Pitcher -- Blaine Elkins Baseball Fielder -- Jacob Raines Softball Pitcher -- Madison Arnold Softball Fielder -- Shianne Ashford Tennis Girls -- Dani Waisanen Tennis Boys -- Luke Jakes Boys Soccer -- Bradly Vickers Female Athlete -- Maleah Scott Male Athlete -- Charlie Parrish Publisher's Cup -- Shianne Ashford Publisher's Cup Male -- Alex Segoviano Lions Award -- Branden Schwartz The meal will be provided by Prater's BBQ.
