Aug. 2: Veterans & Concerned Citizens Meeting

The Veterans and Concerned Citizens for the Veterans of Cannon County will meet Thursday, August 2nd, 2012, at 6:00 p.m., at the Senior Citizens Center in Woodbury.

This will be a short meeting getting ready for the Veterans Program at the Cannon County High School on Friday November 9, 2012; and our Veterans Day Parade on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012.

This will be our 20th year working with CCHS in conducting the Veterans Day Program. This year is going to be the best ever.  This program and parade is made possible because of the outstanding support we receive from the good people of Woodbury and Cannon County.

 We will be asking for your support again this year, and we want to thank you in advance.

God bless you and God bless our Veterans. It is because of our Veterans that we are here today enjoying this wonderful freedom.  And, when one looks at our monument in front of our Courthouse, and see the 61 names engraved on it, we realize that freedom is not free. All gave some, and some gave all.
