We're back into the old routine after a 2-week break from school.

Last week the CCHS Lions and Lionettes were in Pigeon Forge for some basketball and several of their fans from here were in attendance not only for the games but also to see the beautiful Christmas décor as well as the devastation of the fire.

Ppa and I enjoyed a trip to Macon, GA to visit Richard and Barbara Harris for New Years' weekend. We made a stop in Chattanooga at Erlanger Hospital for a visit with Jewell Dale and Brian. Jewell was transferred to Vanderbilt Saturday where she remains at this time.

Randy Corvin was rushed to St. Thomas West last week where he spent a few days. He is now home and prayers are requested for him.

Our thoughts and prayers to Greg Kennedy and Jan Beasley on the death of their mother, Susie Kennedy.

Alayna Reed enjoyed a week's stay in Elkins, West Virginia. She traveled with Case Isenhart and his family to spent time with the Isenhart crew.

Kullon and Shiloh Patrick spent the night with Tim, DeAnna and Adrianna Reed. Parents, Kyle and Shannon, were worn out after moving from Walter Hill to Lebanon.

A good crowd attended the New Year's Eve Candlelight service at Prosperity Baptist Church. Some of the "younger" ones waited out the new year there.

A "big bird" informed me that Gearline Jones added another year on the 5th of January. Happy belated to her.

Carly Grace Brown begins our list for this week when she celebrates her 14th year on the 11th. The 13th sees Maibeth Thompson, Dustin Nichols, Ashley Gilley Wilson and Christina Davis all celebrating a birthday. Eunice Moore celebrates hers on the 14th. Tyler Hickey, Jack Campbell and Catie Adams turn over a new year on the 16th. Winding up the week on the 17th are John Moore and Crew Zimmer. Happy birthday you all.

On the 14th it will be 56 years for David and Joyce Fuller and on the 16th, it will be 12 years for Jim and Donna Sherrell. Happy anniversary to both couples.
