Saturday the 1st was a beautiful day for an outside bridal tea and it was perfect for Ashley Hayes who is the bride elect of Matt Ellsworth. The setting for the tea was the beautiful "yard" of Ted and Wanda Ray. Lots of beautiful gifts were received.

The wedding takes place Saturday, October 15th in East Lansing, Michigan. Congrats and God Bless you both.

Gulf Shores, AL was the place last week for Ralph and Sandy Jackson, Dillon and Jessica with extended family, Dennis and Shana Speck, Jacob and Josh from Sparta.

It was a day of birthday celebrations at our house Sunday. Ashley Patrick's was the 24th and her dessert was a red velvet cake/cheesecake. Bethany Morrison's was the 29th and her selection was a Reese's Pie. Last but certainly not least was Ray Patrick who chose a chocolate peanut butter earthquake cake. He turned 51 the 6th.

Our condolences to Rita Stanley and other loved ones on the death of her husband, David who passed away Monday.

Congratulations to Alyssa Whited who was selected to the 2016 8AA All District Volleyball Team.

C. J. Hughes was in Nashville Sunday to participate in the Greenway Marathon. She is participating in the 2016 Bank of America Chicago Marathon this week. Husband, Derrick, is on hand to help motivate and encourage and probably take some great scenic photos that he is so good at doing.

AND speaking of C. J. - please don't forget the fundraiser for her dad and mom, Russell and Helen Fults. Russell suffers from dementia and hydrocephalus. This is to raise awareness of this dreadful disease and to help support this family as wife, Helen, cannot work due to taking care of Russell.

The run is October 29th and the event begins with a delicious breakfast of biscuits, gravy, choice of meat and drink. Cost is $8 for 11 years and up, $5 for 4-10 years and free to 3 and under. Race begins at 8 a.m. Encouraging all to participate even if you don't walk or run, you can always eat!

It was another win for the Lady Knights when they travelled to meet the Eastside Lady Tigers. Congratulations ladies. The boys are still improving and will have a win soon.

Auburn Baptist Church had a baptismal service Sunday the 2nd. Candidate was Allison Francis.

Revival services began at the church Sunday the 9th and are to continue through Friday the 14th. Evening services begin at 7:00 o'clock. Bro. Paul Fries, Salem Baptist Association Director of Missions is leading. Everyone is invited to attend.
