Tuesday, February 24th, the 4-H Regional Public Speaking was held at the fairgrounds in Lebanon. There were 10 counties represented with an average of 20 participants per grade. This is the highest level for 4th-8th grades. Sharon Bessant, a 6th grader at Auburn Grammar placed 4th. Fifth grader, Kiley Hughes, placed 2nd. Kiley's 4-H poster also made it to the regionals. Congratulations to the Lions and Lionettes. Both teams are Regional Basketball champs with the Lionettes moving on to the state tournament. The Lions fought hard in the sub state but came up a few points short. It has been a great year for both teams.

Important dates coming up - have your noted them on your calendars? The first one is for another great tournament beginning Monday the 16th at 4:00 p.m. when the Auburn Lady Knights take on the Eastside Lady Tigers. This game is followed by the Eastside Tigers and the Cubs of Woodbury. The last girls' game of the night is between The Lady Bears of Short Mt. and the Westside Eagles. Finishing up the night's competition are the Short Mt Bears and the Auburn Knights.

Competition continues Thursday night with the Consolation and Championship games being played Saturday the 21st.

And don't forget the "extra" enjoyment of seeing "Miss" Cheryl's Cheerleading girls (4th graders) perform a routine during half time of the Lady Knights and Lady Tigers game.

Another reminder - the concession food is outstanding so come prepared to eat supper

The second date is Thursday, March 26th when the Auburn Historical Society meets at the Auburn Church of Christ fellowship hall.
And as of right now the third date is Saturday, June 6th when employees, students, faculty, and ANYONE with any connection to Auburn School is encouraged to attend the Y2015 reunion. Our local Lion's Club will supply a fish and shrimp meal. But you don't have to eat - just come and enjoy remembering the "good ole days". However, eating will help support the projects of the Lion's Club. More details forthcoming.

Hope you "sprung forward" and made it to church on time!
