Prayers go up for and heartfelt sympathy toTruitt Parker and family on the death last week of his wife, Ann. They celebrated 56 years of marriage and raised their family in this community.

Sympathy to Winfred Gaither on the death of his nephew, Randy Gaither, who was raised in this community but lived in Florida.

Get well wishes to Elizabeth "Lib" Davenport who suffered both knee caps being broken when she fell at her home in Alabama. She was hospitalized for a few days but is now undergoing physical therapy and rehab. The doctors say the recovery process is lengthy.

Winfred and Sara Gaither enjoyed two of their grandchildren and great grandchildren visits last Monday. Judson and Gretchen Abernathy, Trace and Theo and Matt and Katie Gaither live in Nashville. The Abernathys followed up with a visit to Eddie and Donna Nichols. They were treated to a fresh baked chocolate pie and homemade applesauce prepared by Gretchen. A tour of the Nichols' Hollow followed the meal.

Applause! Applause! Even a standing ovation is due to the 21 members and sponsors of our Jr. Beta Club of Auburn Grammar. Mackenzie Turney ran for and was elected as the Jr. Beta State Secretary and their skit placed first. Ya-a-a-a-y! The State convention as held last weekend in Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville and was attended by several parents.

Happy birthday to Tamisha Cantrell and Charles Ritchie on the 12th. The 13th will be when Margie Gilley adds another year. Jimmy Mingle hits the 67 mark the same day little Turner Reese Stanley has his 1st which is the 14th. Teresa Davis Brandon, Gail Watson McKnight, Anthony Cantrell, Jerry Parker and Janna Reed (her 19th) all celebrate the 15th. Finishing up this week on the 17th are Sandra Gaither and Tracy Hollandsworth. Happy, happy day to all of you.

Happy 1st anniversary to David and Pam Gaither on the 15th.
