Kent Armstrong was called to his eternal home around 2:00 a.m. Friday morning, March 29th. Sympathy is extended to his family and friends.

A speedy recovery to Abby Jakes who underwent knee surgery last week. She was injured in the Girl's State Tournament basketball game.

Many children enjoyed the annual Easter Egg Hunt held Saturday the 30th sponsored by Prosperity Baptist Church. Winning the golden egg in the 0-5 year range was Trinity Bass with Brendon Rich finding the silver egg. Grant Buterbaugh received a prize for finding the most in that group and Lucas Nokes got a prize for finding the least.

In the 6 yr-6th grade group, Garrett Hayes found the golden egg and Adrianna Reed the silver egg. William Buterbaugh found the most with Shelby Clayborn finding the least.

It was a "Despicable Me" birthday cake Saturday the 30th for our grandson, Rylon Morrison, at Bounce U in Murfreesboro. Many of us enjoyed the festivities with some (after much, much struggle and time) accomplished the "Spider web" slide.

If you didn't get up early enough to attend the "Son-Rise" Service at Auburn Baptist Church, you missed a great service and a delicious breakfast afterwards. It was a full house with Prosperity Baptist Church choir and youth performing "Champion of Love" and Bobby Nichols delivering the message.

James Paul Davenport and Kristen Winchester attended Sunrise Service with his grandparents, Ruth and Marvin Davenport, at Hickory Grove Baptist Church, Morrison. Following the service, they joined other members for breakfast at Emma's Restaurant in Manchester.

Brian James, Candace Meyers and Robbie Owen enjoyed Easter lunch at the home of Jim and Donna Sherrell.

Tim, DeAnna, Janna, Alayna and Adrianna Reed hosted our family's annual Easter dinner.

Congratulations to Joan Bryson who is now an official RDA dental assistance with associate's degree.

Bradi Olivia Turney entered this world Wednesday, April 3rd at Middle Tn. Medical Center. She weighed in at 7 lbs, 2 oz. and was 19 ins in length. Her very proud dad and mom are Travis and Brandi. Her maternal grandparents are Robert "Tooter" and Melissa "Missy" Baxter, and great grandparents are the late Jimmy and Pat Nipper. Her paternal grandparents are Roger and Shirley Turney and great grandparents are Jack "Hop" and Mable Turney and the late Tommy and Gwen Turney. Congratulations Travis and Brandi on a beautiful little girl.

Way to go Sr. Betas! First place for "Fire and Ice" talent. Of course, (to do a little Nanna bragging), Daxton Patrick rocked the place with his keyboard rendition of Jerry Lee Lewis' "Great Balls of Fire". Next stop is Mobile, AL, for the Nationals.

The Auburntown Historical Society holds their next meeting Thursday, April 18th at 7:00 P.M. in the Auburn Church of Christ Fellowship Hall. Joe Daniel Davenport is scheduled to speak on Brysonville.

Okay, now are you ready for the next Juicy tale? If not, here goes anyway! This one from Paul Leyhew who lived in Milton. Paul began coming over to Bunt's Garage and on one of those occasions, he noticed mechanic Juicy working under a car. Juicy would call out "9/16th please" as persons walked around the car. He continued this until finally someone obliged and handed him the requested wrench. Evidently this was his mode of operation as Paul never saw him come out from under the car to get the wrench himself.

Now on to this week's birthdays. Brenda Davenport hits her 52nd year the same day Katelyn Duggin has her 10th, and Taylor Melton and Hunter Eidson have their 7th. Tina Fletcher and David Gaither celebrate the 11th. On the 13th, Roy Pruitt, Rachel Prudence Gaither, Matt Hardy and Callie Francis eat their ice cream and cake. Deborah Shehan, Elaine Mingle and Aimee Mears celebrate the same day on the 14th. Charles Dickey Vantrease and Sadie Hockett have theirs the 15th and Mark Melton finishes the week on the 16th. Happy, happy, happy birthday to all of you.

Happy anniversary to Teresa and Randy Morris on the 15th.
