Auburntown Man Faces Criminal Impersonation, Drug Charges



An Auburntown man faces a variety of charges following a traffic stop on West Main St. on Jan. 11.

Woodbury Patrolman Chris Brown charged Elisha J. Jenkins with criminal impersonation after Jenkins first gave his name as Alan Murphey of Kentucky and giving two false dates of birth.

Jenkins was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia (a bent spoon, a hollow-out Bic pen tube and a syringe containing liquid residue.

Additional charges included misuse of registration, failure to provide proof of insurance and no seat belt (2nd offense).

Bond was set at $7,000. Initial court date is Feb. 15.

• Daniel Ray Rainey, 941-B Twin Oaks Dr., Murfreesboro, was charged with domestic assault on Jan. 9 by WPD Sgt. John House. Bond was set at $2,500. Initial court date is Feb. 15.

• Michelle Lee Culwell, 619 Parsley Rd., Smihville, was charged with driving on a suspended license on Jan. 13 by Cannon County Sheriff's Deputy Lawrence Avera. She was given a release citation. Initial court date is Feb. 1.

• Justin Glenn Page, 104 Williams St., Woodbury, was charged with driving on a suspended license on Jan. 11 by WPD Sgt. Kevin Mooneyham. Page, who was driving a 1993 Toyota Paseo, stopped Sgt. Mooneyham on West Main St. to inquire where he could ride his ATV. Bond was set at $1,000. Initial court date is Feb. 15.

• Tansil Machell Howell, 779 Hollis Creek Rd., Woodbury, was charged with driving on a suspended license, third offense, and violation of the financial responsibility law by WPD Patrolman Lowell Womack following a traffic stop on East Main St. on Jan. 18. Bond was set at $1,000. Initial court date is Feb. 15.

• Cynthia Denise Thomas, 935 Simpson Rd., Bradyville, was charged with driving on a suspended license on Jan. 13 by WPD Patrolman Chris Brown following a traffic stop on S. McCrary St. A release citation was issued. Initial court date is Feb. 15.

• Melvin Leonard Shrum, 125 Meadowbrook Dr., Woodbury, was charged with leaving the scene of a property damage accident on Jan. 14 by WPD Patrolman Chris Brown. Bond was set at $250. Initial court date is Feb. 15.
