Auburn School was one of 20 schools in Tennessee recently awarded a Shape the State Grant from Blue Cross Blue Shield Tennessee.

Regan Vaughn, Auburn's Physical Education teacher, along with help from Connie Foster and Melinda Crook, applied for the grant earlier this school year, and were recently presented with a "check" for $10,000, which was used to buy new P.E. equipment and for training in the SPARK P.E. program.

The school will also receive $1,000 to spend on other P.E. supplies.

Way to go Auburn School! If there are grants out there I think it is great that our teachers and principals are willing to go the extra mile to get them. Auburn School will benefit greatly from this grant.
