Arts & Crafts: White Oak Features Top Artisans
TONY STINNETT, Courier Co-Editor
Top craft artisans presented an enormous variety of work chosen for its excellence and integrity by a highly respected selection panel.
A variety of mediums were offered, including textiles, jewelry, woodcarving, metalwork, pottery, photography, chairs, baskets, ironwork and stained glass.
More than 60 booths were running for customers to enjoy throughout the weekend. The event started two decades ago to celebrate the time-honored craft of white oak basket making, along with a rich tradition of crafters in the area and has continued to grow through the years.
The 21st annual White Oak Crafts Fair is sponsored by the Cannon Association of Crafts Artists, The Arts Center of Cannon County and The Tennessee Arts Commission.
