Arrest Warrant Issued For Court No-Show

A Circuit Court session was held Friday morning at the Cannon County Courthouse with the Honorable Robert E. Corlew presiding, but there was little for him to do.

That's because none of the three defendants listed on the docket showed up for their probation revocation hearings.

One of those defendants, Terry L. Johnson, has apparently absconded, according to Assistant District Attorney David Puckett.

Chancellor Corlew issued a capias for Johnson, without bond. Puckett said an additional charge of failure to appear may be filed.

The other two cases, against Johnny Whittemore and Wesley Scott, were continued because nither of the defendants had been served.
